Farfalle a la Marinara Recipe
Ingredients:
- 300g farfalle pasta
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese for serving

Cook the farfalle pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add finely chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the onion is soft and translucent.
Pour in the crushed tomatoes into the pan. Stir in dried oregano, dried basil, and red pepper flakes if using. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Simmer for about 15 minutes.
Add the cooked farfalle pasta to the marinara sauce. Toss until the pasta is well coated with the sauce.
Garnish with chopped fresh basil before serving.
